Registration for Project-Based Rent Assistance (Cherry Court and Highland Gardens)

SEPTEMBER 5 – 8, 2017: REGISTRATION FOR PROJECT-BASED RENT ASSISTANCE FOR 55+ OR DISABLED ADULT HOUSING AT CHERRY COURT AND HIGHLAND GARDENS
Beginning September 5 through September 8, 2017, the Housing Authority of the City of Milwaukee (HACM) will accept registrations at www.hacmpbreg.com from persons ages 55+ or adults with disabilities interested in receiving an application for Project-Based Rent Assistance to be used at Cherry Court Apartments, 1525 N. 24th Street, or Highland Gardens Apartments, 1818 W. Juneau Avenue, in Milwaukee.
Please note that this Project-Based Rent Assistance provides a subsidy to help pay the costs of housing at these buildings ONLY. The Rent Assistance Voucher Wait List, which applies to housing vouchers that tenants can take with them to different buildings, is NOT open for new applications at this time.
Interested individuals may register to receive an application by completing a form at www.hacmpbreg.com between 12:01 am on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 and 11:59 pm on Friday, September 8, 2017.
Those individuals who do not have access to a computer or the Internet may register in person by using a computer provided at 5011 W. Lisbon Avenue between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm on registration days. English- and Spanish-speaking staff will be available to assist with registration from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. HACM staff will also be available to answer questions by phone at (414) 286-5500 on registration days.
After an individual registers, they will be mailed a paper application within ten (10) business days to be completed and returned. Eligible applicants will be added to a waiting list for apartments when they become available at Cherry Court and/or Highland Gardens. In the event that the number of registrations surpasses the program’s capacity, a LOTTERY will be conducted to select a manageable number of applicants. Registrants who are not selected may be notified by the email address they provide during the registration process. Incomplete registrations will not be accepted. Duplicate registrations will be rejected.
In order to register at www.hacmpbreg.com, an individual MUST have the following 5 pieces of information:

~ Date of birth
~ Mailing address
~ Social Security Number
~ Phone number (including area code)
ALL REGISTRATIONS MUST BE COMPLETED ONLINE AT www.hacmpbreg.com.
