Local HUD Representatives Tour HACM Developments
On May 25, representatives from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s local office witnessed HACM’s mission in action. Shirley Wong, Wisconsin Public Housing Director, and Dee Schultz, Portfolio Management Specialist, spent the morning touring several of HACM’s developments and neighborhoods as well as learning about the supportive programs available to residents that focus on improving their quality of life.
HACM has more than 40 years of experience in developing and implementing innovative, award-winning partnerships with economic and supportive service agencies. These strong partnerships have produced positive and productive results for our residents and our communities.
After the tour Wong shared, “I now have an even better understanding of the positive impact HACM has on its surrounding communities and some of the challenges you face as well.”
HACM’s staff and residents appreciate the time Wong and Schultz took out of their busy schedules to gain a deeper understanding of how HACM fosters strong, resilient, and inclusive communities by providing a continuum of high-quality housing options that support self-sufficiency, good quality of life, and the opportunity to thrive.
