PUBLIC NOTICE OF SIGNIFICANT AMENDMENT TO THE 2018 AGENCY PLAN

Public Notice is hereby given that the Housing Authority of the City of Milwaukee (HACM) will hold a Public Hearing regarding a Significant Amendment to HACM’s 2018 Agency Plan, as required by HUD under Section 511 of the Quality Housing and Work Responsibility Act (QHWRA) of 1998, hereafter referred to as the Public Housing Reform Act (PHRA).

This is a 45 day notice with an opportunity to present public comments regarding this change from December 22 2017- Feb. 5, 2018.

Interested persons are invited to comment on the draft amendment to the Housing Authority’s Agency Plan documents at the public hearing. Written comments must be submitted to Mr. Antonio Pérez, Secretary-Executive Director, Housing Authority of the City of Milwaukee, Post Office Box 324, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, 53201. Written comments must be submitted no later than noon on or before Monday, February 5, 2018. A public hearing will be conducted on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at 1:30 pm at City Hall, 200 East Wells Street, Milwaukee, WI, Room 301-A.

A draft copy of the amendment to the 2018 Agency Plan is now available for review and inspection by the public. The draft amendment can be viewed here.

Housing Choice Voucher recipients, public housing residents, resident councils, organizations, and the general public are encouraged to attend and submit suggestions, recommendations, comments and ideas on the Draft Amendment.

 

AGENCY PLAN

The Agency Plan is a comprehensive guide to HACM policies, programs, operations, and strategies for meeting local housing needs and goals. HACM submits it Agency Plan to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) every fiscal year.
