PROJECT-BASED RENT ASSISTANCE WAITING LIST: HACM has established monthly registration days for individuals interested in Project-Based Rent Assistance at specific buildings. Learn more at the registration website, www.hacmpbreg.com, or call the Project-Based Rent Assistance hotline at (414) 286-5500.

Please note: Due to the large number of registrations received during the May 1st registration session for project-based rent assistance at Westlawn Gardens, the Rent Assistance Program conducted a lottery to determine which registrants will receive an application to complete and return. If you registered, you will be notified of your status by email or mail.

OFFICE HOURS: 7:00 A.M. - 4:30 P.M., Monday - Friday with the exception of holidays
WALK-IN HOURS FOR HELP WITH CERTIFICATION (does not include the Lease & Contract or Inspection Divisions): Tuesdays between 8:00 A.M. and 11:00 A.M. and Thursdays between 1:30 P.M. and 4:30 P.M.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM: This Section 8 Program is a federally-funded program administered by HACM. The Section 8 Program, often referred to as the Rent Assistance Program (RAP), is designed to help low- and moderate-income families rent privately-owned housing. The rental subsidy, known as a housing assistance payment, is paid directly to the property owner or designated payee each month. This program is available to a limited number of families and allows them to pay approximately 30% to 40% of their income toward their monthly rent. The program pays the balance of the rent to the landlord in the form of a monthly check.
