Community Partners for Seniors Hosts Holiday Bingo Party for Residents
Brightening lives since 1986, Community Partners for Seniors (CPS) hosted a bingo party at HACM's Mitchell Court development. Residents gathered for games, camaraderie, and good old fashion fun.
Party goers received prizes such as paper goods and storage items, personal care and toiletries, and candy and snack bars.
CPS hosts numerous on-site parties and social events at HACM's developments. Their mission is to brighten the lives of senior citizens and disabled individuals over the age of 50, who reside in subsidized housing, by providing holiday meals, social programs, and annual care packages.
This Thanksgiving, nearly 400 CPS volunteers will prepare, package, and deliver 4,508 free, hot meals to subsidized housing in 50 cities throughout Southeast Wisconsin.
4,508 meals equals:
- 1,000 pounds of turkey breasts
- 400 pounds of potatoes
- 300 pounds of stuffing
- 300 pounds of green beans
- 20 gallons of gravy
- 4,508 slices of pumpkin pie
