Family & Medical Leave
HACM provides Family and Medical Leave (FML) to assist staff in their efforts to balance the operational needs of the workplace with personal needs. HACM's policy is intended to complement leaves under applicable federal and/or state laws.
Federal and state law require certain employers to grant family and medical leave of absence to eligible employees. Wisconsin employers follow both state and federal family and medical leave laws. Where Wisconsin and federal provisions differ, the one most favorable to the employee must be followed.
